Set Timezone for Instances

You can set the time zone in a couple of ways: in Ignite or within the application instance's operating system.

Note: Linux instances should use Default or the UTC timezone, rather than a custom local timezone

Follow these steps to set a timezone for an application instance in Ignite:

  1. Shut down the application instance for which you want to set a time zone
  2. On the instance's Profile, click Actions -> Edit timezone configuration
    • Default sets the timezone to match the compute node's timezone. See here for instructions on customizing a compute node's timezone
  3. Select Custom, the Timezone Area and the Timezone Location
  4. Click Save, and then start the instance
  5. Set the timezone within the instance's OS
